Christmas 2009 is now behind us, as we look forward to greeting a brand new year in less than a week. We hope that everyone of you has a fantastic Holiday season with friends and family! Every year, right before Christmas, the staff of L.O.F.T. GOLF goes grocery shopping for the needy. We spend a couple hours in one of our local supermarkets picking up food for those that are less fortunate than most. This is our favorite task of the year as we do what we can to bring holiday meals to folks that really need it. We realize that 2009 has been a very difficult year for many and we want to do what we can to help those in need, stocking the food pantry. We encourage all of our fellow lofters to do the same. I’ll tell you from experience, you know the great feeling you get when you birdie a hole? Well this’ll make you feel better! You know how it feels when you chip in for eagle? Really? How DOES that feel? Anyway, although the elusive eagle has avoided me, thus far, I can promise you that helping your neighbors will feel better. You don’t have to spend hundreds to help, $5 would make a huge difference as well.

OK, so we’re staying in a beautiful 5,000 square foot private villa in the Dominican Republic. Top shelf everything! We travel by stretch limo, helicopter or golf cart. Top shelf liquor, unbelievable food. We’re treated like royalty! To bring us back to earth, yesterday, my friend mark and I decided to golf at Los Mangos Golf Course, about 15 minutes from our resort. This course was as BAD as our accomodations were good! Don’t get me wrong, there are beautiful courses on the D.R., this just wasn’t one of ‘em! We had a ball watching our caddy running all over the course to find our balls. Well, not just on the course! We were in a cart and the caddy ran the entire 9 holes in 95 degree heat! He was a nice guy and we tipped him well, mainly because if one of us had an 85 yard drive he’d say “nice”! I have attached a photo that I took while lying in the middle of the 3rd fairway. Once I snapped the photo, I stood up and spent 10 minutes removing the burrs from my L.O.F.T. shirt. I took the attached picture because, frankly, if I just tried to describe it, it wouldn’t do the course justice!

Your pals at LOFT GOLF have been working on a new, optional logo and we’d love your thoughts! We will continue to make the original, much loved LOFT GOLF logo but are testing out a new, politically correct version. We have Sales Reps on the road, calling on golf courses, golf shops, pro shops, etc. The buyers LOVE the brand, the look and the quality of our products but several make the statement “This stuff is great, but I can’t carry it here”, then they proceed to order some product for their own use!
