Hey there, lofters!
We’re sorry it’s been so long since our last post! We have been really. really busy! Well, I wanted to update you on our latest travel story. We know how much you all enjoy hearing about how a successful businessman sleeps in slum motels just to save a couple of dollars. You need to understand, I look at a hotel as a place to sleep for a few hours, wake up, take a shower and get back on the road. As a result of this thinking, I’m pretty sure that we’ve stayed in places that have been feature on COPS! My employess would LOVE to stay in 5 star hotels but that’s just not gonna happen if I’m paying! So anyway, we travelled to Virginia this past weekend to attend a benefit party for our recently signed pro golfer, Clint Moody. We got into town a couple of hours prior to the event, so I punched in “hotel” into our GPS and found an economy motel just one mile away from the event! Score! We headed over to the motel, and I’m not gonna lie to you, it looked pretty scary! Figuring we were going to have a late night and early morning, really, what difference would it make? I pulled up in front of the hotel, ignoring our staff’s input, and proceeded to enter the lobby to inquire about pricing. I was told it was only $50 per night, double occupancy. Yup, yup, I was excited! So then I asked the desk clerk “Is this place OK?” I swear to God, once I asked that, he looked at me and started laughing! I thanked him very much and we went down the road to a Sheraton. The Sheraton was a whole lot more and I’m thankful that I chose them and am alive to type this post today! I pray that some day I’ll learn! Oh, I also want to thank the desk clerk that prevented me from being the next guy on a COPS episode! Hell, I don’t even own a “wife beater” tee and would feel grossly under dressed on my FOX debut!
