Sorry to have not updated you with details of our trip back north.  Truth is, there really wasn’t a lot to write about.  First-off, we learn from our mistakes (after several times), so we didn’t risk our lives at a seedy motel on our way back!  Nope, we felt safe, didn’t have sinks in our bedrooms and didn’t have a single window a raccoon could fit through!  I know, it makes for a boring trip but I find ya sleep a whole lot better not wondering if you’re gonna die there.  As I stated before, the attendance was certainly not what we expected at the Florida’s Largest Golf Show, yet we sold quite a bit of stuff and had a lot of fun.  There were several new ‘lofters’ roaming the show with their recently acquired LOFT Gear.  Bogeyman stopped in to say hi, looking quite fashionable in his sweet, black moisture wicking loft polo.  The tee shirts were a hit with everyone!  We made some great contacts with some fantastic companies that were attending the show, as well.  I will update all of you on the wine company that proudly wore LOFT Gear the entire show.  I will post details to the site shortly, but man, i gotta tell you, they had the best wine I’ve ever tasted!  Like I said, I’ll post the link to the company ’cause you’ve NEVER tasted wine like this before!

Hello lofters!  We just finished day two of the “Florida’s Largest Golf Show” in Tampa.  The traffic’s been a little lighter than we’d prefer, but it’s been a great show so far!  We believe the lower than expected turn-out has been a result of the Traditions tournament, playing right down the road, and the NCAA basketball tournaments.  Fortunately, once again, your pals at LOFT GOLF were the hit of the show!  Several people came to the show because they heard about us at the PGA Merchandise Show in January, and knew we were attending the Tampa show.  Even with the lighter than expected traffic, people were lined up at the register a good part of the weekend to purchase the all new LOFT GOLF line.  Once again, not everyone knew what LOFT was all about, but once we told ‘em they were hooked!  Most folks bought more than one shirt to give to their lofter buddies!  Yup, it’s late and we’re very tired but we promised you updates so here ya go!  Once again, our beloved lofters, thank you so much for your support and love!

Several of you followed our “quality” travel tips from our trip to Orlando last January.  Well, just to prove that not only do we possess a lack of talent in golf, we also have a definite lack of talent in travel!  This time, we stepped up to the prestigious Super 8 motel in Manning, SC.  This, unfortunately, was a step up from our Red Roof Inn nightmare in NC in February.  Let me try to explain our accomodations.  My room, number 225, is probably the place I’m going to die.  Be sure to watch COPS Saturday on FOX ’cause I’m pretty sure I’m gonna be on it!  You won’t recognize me, but I’ll be the bloody corpse under the sheet.  I am wearing a LOFT Tee shirt to bed in order to market to the crew at the morgue.  Yup, I’m always working.  We pulled into this beautiful motel exhausted from a more than 800 mile drive, just wanting to sleep.  Once I settled into the creaky, uncomfortable bed for some well deserved shut-eye, I couldn’t help but hear a sound I haven’t heard in months in CT, crickets.  For a moment I thought that was cool, but then realized they were way too loud.  I assumed the window might’ve been cracked open so I pushed the “drapes” to the side to find a window so warped it can’t be locked and any animal smaller than a pit bull could easily crawl in!  Thank God it’s on the second floor!  Just so you all don’t think I’m exaggerating, I am attaching a photo of the window (just in case you forget to TIVO cops).  On the slim chance that I live to see morning, I swear, yup, swear, I will NEVER ever sleep in a cheap motel again!  If I don’t make it ’till morning, please order LOFT GEAR has we have several staff members counting on their checks to clear, and my wife will have a funeral to pay for!  On the small chance I live, I will update with more quality travel tips from the road.

For any of you lofters that are fortunate enough to be at the Florida’s Largest Golf Show in Tampa this month, you’re going to see the most unbelievable line of LOFT Gear, yet!  First off, we will be there with close to 1,000 shirts, over 100 caps, and an entire rack of special order, all new LOFT Gear, never before seen!  There is something for everyone in our ‘09 line-up!  We know we’ve been promising to get all the ‘09 gear up on the site, and we apologize that it’s taken so long.  We are interviewing additional employees to handle the uploading of the products on a daily basis.  All of us here at LOFT GOLF have been working overtime just handling our business from the last show.  We promise you, our beloved lofters, we will not let you down!  If you are in Tampa, please stop by our booth and say hi!

It’s very, very sad!  Most of the snow in the state was just a memory.  Last Friday we saw temps in the mid 50s, and now, over the next 24 hours, the state will be blanketed in a foot and a half of snow!  I was chatting with bogeyman last Friday and Florida’s in the 80s!  Those of us foolish enough to reside up north are feeling like we’re never, ever going to golf this year!  Keep the faith brothers and sisters…spring’ll get here.  I promise!
