OK, I know we’ve told you before that the forum was fixed and easy to use. Yup, we were wrong! We just converted to the latest and greatest software and have put it through several tests, and it passed all of them. We know some of our beloved lofters were having problems uploading pictures, now that’s fixed too! We sincerely thank all of you for your patience as we work through our growing pains! Now, stop reading this and post something to the forum! We want to hear your loft stories, we want to see your cool photos and, most of all, we want to feel the love! We have worked very hard to bring you a fun and easy forum, free of ads, for all our lofters to enjoy!

The Travelers Insurance Company has just today agreed to continue to sponsor the Travelers Championship in Hartford through 2014! Your pals at LOFT GOLF attend this great tournament every year and are very, very pleased that Travelers has agreed to continue with their sponsorship! It’s a great tournament and we are pleased with the great choice made by the Travelers! Oh, for those of you not familiar with the Travelers Championship, it used to be called The Sammy Davis, Jr Greater Hartford Open. It’s a great tournament in a great state! Thank you Travelers, thank you!

After the incredible response that your pals at LOFT GOLF had at the PGA Merchandise Show, we have been able to bring in different vendors to really drive down the prices of our beautiful LOFT gear. We have been working with vendors (who want a commitment of a bazillion shirts) in order to drive down our prices on quality wicked climate cool shirts. These are the shirts that everyone at the show wanted. We will be back to you soon with the new, reduced prices. While we can’t tell you yet how much cheaper these shirts will be, we can assure you that you will no longer need to sell bone marrow in order to be LOFT fashionable! Stay tuned for future announcements.

Hello lofters! We are just closing out our first day back to the office. Several of you have contacted us to let us know how much you enjoyed our travel tips! Thanks for that and there will be more coming your way soon. We can’t tell you how pleased we were with our PGA Show success! We’ve been on the phones all day responding to clubs, tournaments and golf shops anxious to carry the brand. We are very flattered by the love, but will never, ever change from the lunatics you have all grown to love! It is great to be back but honestly, it was greater to golf at the club! If our beloved lofters need anything, you know how to get to us! As always…we love you lofters! Yup, we really do!

Well finally the entire staff of LOFT GOLF are all back in CT. I told you I may be able to offer some more quality travel tips and boy can I! We left Orlando at about noon on Wednesday vowing to never, and I mean NEVER drive the over 1,200 miles straight through again. That being said, we stopped in a town called Rocky Mount, NC to get a place to sleep at about 11:00 PM Wednesday night. Well, your ‘ole pal Stickmon is not much for frills when it comes to lodgeing so we decided to get rooms at the Red carpet Inn in Rocky Mount. Yup, I’ll admit I was sucked into the free wi/fi, but I was more sucked into the $29.95 per room price tag. While getting the room, I asked the woman at the front desk “are these rooms alright”?. I knew I we weren’t at the Hilton but at least wanted assurance that we wouldn’t be killed in our sleep! She stated “yeah”, and that was that. We went to our rooms, room numbers 148 and 150 and proceeded to enter the rooms. I have never, and what I mean by never is N-E-V-E-R seen a more disgusting room in my life! The vanity in the room (yup, I said room, not bathroom, was cracked in the center and folding in-ward. There was no clock, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, shampoo or inside security lock. I was sure that we would all become part of the cast for next weeks America’s Most Wanted but began to relax when I realized that even the most hardened criminal wouldn’t step foot on this property! Our truck was fully loaded with LOFT stuff, mannequinns and a whole bunch of stuff I didn’t want to lose so I did the sensible thing and stayed up all night! When it was time to finally get back on I-95 North we all took showers and were treated to towels that were about the size of dish towels. We knew they weren’t dish towels though ’cause they would’ve scratched the dishes beyond recognition (yeah, they were that bad). We all rushed into our soap scum covered showers and enjoyed washing our body and hair with the world’s smallest bar of soap. Nope, no shampoo! This experience has changed me forever! I will never, ever stay at a room that I can buy for $30 again. When we went to check out, and return the rooms TV remote (no really, the remote was handed to us after we payed), the woman at the front desk never asked if everything was all right. Nope, she knew. We were just happy to escape with our lives. I would love to say that some of this story was embellished to add humor but I swear to God it’s the absolute truth. If you ever invite the LOFT crew to your town, there had better be a Hilton in the area or we will NOT be there! Oh, and if there is a Hilton, we’d like to have the owner’s granddaughter stop in to say hello! That is my final travel tip ’till we head for Tampa in March for another huge golf show. Wow! This poularity thing is getting tough…but we love it! LOFT on lofters, we love ya!

Well, we finally got a round in today at beautiful Kissimmee Bay Country Club. It was a bit cold (high 50’s), and windy but we had to do it! I just wanted all our lofters to know that I proudly carried on our tradition with not 1 but 2 elevens for 18 holes! Like I told all the people at the PGA Show, not only do I work for LOFT GOLF, I live it too. oh, and I live it proudly! We are excited that we’ll be back in the office Friday morning and will be working all weekend to catch up. If you need anything please let us know. I will try to post on the way home tomorrow and give more quality travel advise. Stay well!

While some of the LOFT crew headed north, a few us us remained in Florida for the Super Bowl. We took the roughly hour and a half ride to Tampa. Yup, it sounds exciting but we weren’t actually at the stadium, we were in a lanai (screen room for you northerners) enjoying the game with a bunch of good friends. It probably would’ve been cool to see the Super Bowl in person but we wouldn’t have missed the fun with our friends in the lanai for anything! Congratulations to the Steelers for a well played game! We’re golfing tomorrow and heading the trucks north for the sweet 20 hour ride back to the tundra Wednesday morning. I will update you ‘lofters’ as our trip progresses and maybe even offer more travel tips!
